AMMAN, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Jordanian Health Minister Saad Jaber said in a statement that the country reported 23 new coronavirus cases on Friday while 16 have recovered.
The total number of the COVID-19 cases has risen to 235, the minister said added.
Three of the patients are in need of intensive medical care, he noted, urging people to stay at home.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh revealed a drop in the number of curfew violators, while Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Shahahdeh said Jordan would stop exporting vegetables to meet local demands.
Earlier in the day, the Central Bank of Jordan said banks will be reopened starting Saturday, but each bank is only allowed to open two branches in the capital Amman.
