On April 16, 2019, the Second China-Arab Reform and Development Forum with the theme of Building Belt and Road, Sharing Development and Prosperity” was convened by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held by CARC in Shanghai. 18 international students from Chinese Studies Masters Programs and Chinese-Arabic-English Multilingual Translation Masters Program participated in the forum to listen to the keynote speeches and discussions of former Arab leaders, Chinese and Arab officials, experts and scholars, to understand the expectations of China and Arab countries for pragmatic cooperation, deepen the understanding of the path of co-construction reform and development, and accept on-site teaching of simultaneous interpretation, fully feel the translation atmosphere of high-end forum.
After the forum, international students, Chinese and Arab officials, scholars and media reporters exchanged views on issues such as China-Arab governance, reform and development, and deepening the strategic partnership between the two sides.
