    CARC is co-sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal Government. It is operated by Shanghai International Studies University. CARC makes full use of domestic and foreign advantages in all aspects, innovates organizational forms, reforms management methods, and strives to build a first-class international think tank platform which combines external publicity and capital. In order to promote the construction of CARC, and to meet the needs of the work, we are now recruiting think tank researchers at home and abroad, including doctors, postdoctors, associate professors or professors.

 

     1. Recruitment and Research Direction

(1) Arabic major, Chinese-Arabic translation, Arab culture or Arab country research direction.

(2) Backgrounds in world history, political science, religion, law or economics, Arab countries or Islamic studies, and fluent in Arabic, English or French.

(3)Teachers hired for lectures. Understand the national conditions of the Arab countries, be able to accurately publicize China's experience in governance of country, reform and opening up, and have relevant fields of teaching and research experience.

 

        2.About CARC

CARC was launched by President Xi Jinping and officially unveiled on April 20, 2017. According to the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s speech at the opening ceremony of the 8th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum in July 2018, the center should be bigger and stronger”, and the functional orientation is the exchange platform of governance of country, reform and opening up, the main task is to provide more intellectual support for both sides.

 

The center has broad-opened ideas, established cooperative relations with well-known domestic think tanks, institutions and organizations, established contact and cooperation with Arab countries and even internationally influential think tanks, established more working links with the embassies and consulates in China.

 

The center recruits talented scholars from all over the world, recruits international students from the Arab countries to study for a master's degree in Chinese studies, and jointly organizes the China-Arab Translation Joint Training Project” with the Arab League to cultivate high-standard talents to build a community of shared destiny between China and the Arab states

 

The Expert Committee of CARC is formed  by a group of full-time adjunct professors and former ambassadors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The directors of the expert committee are Professor Zhu Weili and Ambassador Li Chengwen.

 

The Center regularly organizes short-term seminars for senior officials of Arab countries, organizes the China-Arab Reform and Development Forum and international seminars, plans to open overseas branches in Arab countries, and put the frontiers of research in the Arab countries, closely track Arab country and regional dynamics research.

 

The center plans to promote the basic research on the development of China-Arab relations, the special study on Sino-Arab cultural exchanges, and the study on the characteristics of China and Arab countries. It organizes the compilation of 22 Arab countries' social and cultural series and national history, and translates Chinese and Arabic classics.

 

3. Employment Treatment

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the state and the school, we will sign a contract for personnel dispatch, apply for social insurance, salary negotiable.
