On July 4, 2019, the website of the National Freedom of Liberation of Morocco released a news about the party representative’s trip to China participating in the first Sino-Arab Political Party Seminar. Politburo member Abu Daihaman Yazdi and young backbone Muhammad Tourtour reported on the training period in Shanghai and Zhengzhou. Abu Dhaman Yazdi, member of the Politburo of the National Freedom of the People's Union of Morocco, and the young backbone Muhammad Tourtour went to Shanghai, China to participate in the first Sino-Arab Political Party Seminar. 18 political party representatives from Morocco, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon and Tunisia participated in the seminar.
In his speech, Yazdi pointed out that China-Morocco relations have a long history. As early as 1345 AD, the Moroccan traveler Ibn Battuta had traveled to China. After returning home, he strongly praised the benefits of using paper money in China and described in details the shipbuilding business in Guangzhou, expressed his amazement at China's skill in making silk and porcelain.
Yazdi said that China and Morocco established diplomatic relations in November 1958, and Morocco is the second Arab country and African country to establish diplomatic relations with China. In 1975, China sent its first medical team to Morocco. In 2009, it opened a Confucius Institute at the University of Rabat Mohammed V.
Yazdi pointed out that during his visit to China in May 2016, King Mohammed VI signed a joint statement with President Xi Jinping to upgrade the relationship between the two countries to a strategic partnership. Since then, the trade exchanges between the two countries have risen to a new level. In the same year, Morocco exempted Chinese visitors from entry visas in Morocco. In 2017, the two countries signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the “Belt and Road” to establish a framework for developing cooperation between the two countries in various fields and achieving the goal of the “Belt and Road ”Initiative.
Tourtour said that the rich curriculum of the seminar provided an opportunity for the Moroccan National Freedom Federation to understand the various transformation stages, leading models and development plans of the CPC.
He also said that field trips are a good opportunity. Through field trips, we can feel these plans close enough, and the implementation of these plans has brought about major changes in the lives of farmers.
We have a close-knit experience of China's advanced experience, which set an example for Morocco. After achieving great achievements, the planning of the CPC has been recognized by the people.”
Tourtour said that the two representatives of the National Freedom Federation also introduced the political experience of the National Freedom Federation and the “Trust Path” program to China during the seminar. The program is dedicated to achieving major changes at the political level and making a significant contribution to new development models.
Tourtour said that the visit was full of colorful activities. They listened to many wonderful lectures, deeply understood the CPC, learned about China's historical stage and culture, also understood the leadership of the CPC is the reason for the tremendous changes in China's economy, politics, and industry.
In addition, they also conducted field visits to several villages in Henan Province, and visited a number of farmers' self-operated food processing units and other fields, learned about China's rural development work and felt the tremendous efforts China has made to reduce the urban-rural gap and promote the development of rural areas.
The theme of the seminar was “Building the Belt and Road: The Responsibility of Political Parties”, organized by CARC. The center was established in April 2017, the headquarters set at SISU.
At the graduation ceremony, the two representatives of the National Freedom Federation presented gifts to Jiang Feng, Secretary of the Party Committee of SISU and Honorary Chairman of the CARC.
