From May 18 to 21, 2019, Li Chengwen, President of CARC, Ambassador of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed a delegation to Arab League headquarters and Egypt. They met with Khalid, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League; Khalil, Assistant Secretary-General; Badri, Assistant Foreign Minister of Egypt and Permanent Representative of the Arab League. They exchanged views on China-Arab relations, China-Egypt relations, China-Arab cooperation forum, the 16th Senior Officials Meeting of the Forum and the preparations for the fifth high-level official political dialogue and regional situation. Zhao Jixian, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, participated in the above activities.
Shortly before that, Assistant Secretary-General Khalil of the Arab League visited China and participated in the second China-Arab Reform and Development Forum jointly organized by CARC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Li made further exchanges with Khalil during the visit.
