On the morning of June 12, Professor Wang Guangda, Executive Director of CARC, met with the Kuwait Youth Delegation in the International Education Center of SISU.
A 12-member Kuwait Youth Delegation visited the photo exhibition of CARC. The staff introduced the development history of the center and the construction of the four platforms. The Kuwait side appreciated the contributions of the center to the friendly exchanges between China and Kuwait, hoping that in the future, CARC will continue to play a bridge role for China-Kuwait friendship.
The Kuwaiti youth delegation also came to the East Hall of library, the students from Arabic department held a welcoming ceremony for them. At the welcoming ceremony, the students performed Arabic songs and Arabic short plays, and invited young representatives from Kuwait to study Chinese traditional calligraphy. All the performances were highly appreciated by the Kuwait delegation.
After the welcoming ceremony, the young people from the two countries conducted friendly exchanges, the Kuwait delegation hoped that the Chinese students will work hard to improve the level of Arabic and become the messengers of spreading Chinese culture and deepening Sino-Kuwait friendship. The Chinese students also said that Kuwait is an important country in the Gulf region meanwhile an important stop for countries along the “Belt and Road”. Learning Arabic well is not only an expectation but also a mission.
The friendly relations between China and Kuwait have a long history. In the new era, young people will play an important role in building the “Belt and Road” and deepening pragmatic cooperation in various fields. The exchanges between young peoples of China and Kuwait will further promote cultural exchanges and relationships between the two countries.
