The outbreak of novel coronavirus in China has attracted widespread attention in Syria. Many Syrian officials who have participated in the seminars of Arab Officials at CARC have recently sent letters expressing sympathy and support for China's anti-epidemic campaign. They are willing to always stand by the Chinese government and people to go through the crisis together and believe that the spring is bound to come.

Participant of the ninth seminar, Muhsen Ismandr, director of the Office of the Syrian Arab Republic Planning and International Cooperation Agency and doctor of economics praised China's contribution to international cooperation in addressing the health crisis and expressed confidence in China's economic development: The Chinese government shares the epidemic situation information with other countries in a timely manner through various channels, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy, and conducts effective cooperation with international organizations such as the World Health Organization. Many countries have provided China with material and spiritual support, reflecting the international community's coordination and cooperation at the period of difficulty. The impact on the Chinese economy is temporary. The quality and price of Chinese products occupy an advantage in global competition. The trust and dependence of domestic and foreign consumers will help China's economic recovery. Up to now, the center has held three Syrian Officials Seminars, including the fourth Syrian Reconstruction and Development Seminar in May 2018, the seventh Syrian Officials Seminar in June 2019, and the ninth China-Syria Co-construction Belt and Road Seminar in October 2019. A total of 75 Syrian officials participated in the seminars, which established an effective platform for friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Syria.
